Multi-Level Electrical Safety System
CoolDrivePro parking ACs include a sophisticated multi-level battery protection system that prevents deep discharge and ensures reliable engine starting after a full night of cooling.
Undervoltage Protection
The most critical protection feature. When battery voltage drops to the cutoff threshold, the unit automatically shuts down — preserving enough charge to start your engine. Default cutoff voltages: 11.0V (12V systems), 22.0V (24V systems). Adjustable from 10.5V–11.5V to suit different battery types.
Overcurrent Protection
A 30A automotive fuse protects the wiring and unit from short circuits. The control board also monitors current draw and will shut down if current exceeds safe limits, preventing wiring damage.
Thermal Protection
Compressor temperature sensors monitor operating temperature. If the compressor overheats due to restricted airflow or extreme ambient temperatures, the unit enters a protection mode and reduces capacity until temperatures normalize.
Voltage Monitoring Display
The digital thermostat displays real-time battery voltage, allowing you to monitor battery state of charge throughout the night. Set a voltage alarm to alert you before the battery reaches the cutoff threshold.
